Last night and this morning I practiced the solo I need to perform. Last night I had the most difficulty with the tempo. On Audacity I tried slowing down the tempo so I can play it better. When I slowed it down, I practiced the piece a few times to get the hang of the new tempo. I could play the song a lot better when it was slower. When I tried to record myself playing with the slower tempo I had difficulties trying to piece them together.
Practicing last night has significantly helped me play this piece. This morning when I was practicing I could play the whole piece through without many problems. I did have some problems hitting all the high notes. So my goal tonight to do is to practice mostly the faster parts I had trouble with and the high notes. In my opinion I think I play the beginning the best. Since, I think this in my best interest I should start practicing the middle to end (bars 13 - the end of the piece)

Hello,
Today I practiced my solo for my music assignment. I am still having problems getting the right notes and getting the tempo correct with the accompaniment. During the weekend and tonight I have brought home my flute, and practiced. The practicing has helped me, but I still need to work on the piece of music. I hope by tomorrow night I have the playing finished and I have recorded it to Audacity. I have started my CD cover and my bio.

The first couple of times that I played the piece I knew I was going have some problems with it. I downloaded the piano to go with my solo. I have figured out the tempo of the song, but the problems that I have and will have to work on is bars 16 to 18 and the ending bars, 22 to 40. I have praticed mostly the beginning of the piece which is a problem because I haven't been working on the ending bars. In the next few days I will be practicing more the ending than the beginning and also, I will play the piece with the accompaniment to get the tempo right.

Hello,

On Tuesday, January 6th 2009, I recieved an assignment for music. The assignment includes me playing a piece of music. The piece of music is in 2/4 time. There is a lot of sticatos and sluring. The peice usually has four sticatos, and then slurring four or five notes. After the slurring the sticatos repeat again. This happens from bars 5 to 20. After bar 20 the rythm changes. It has 3 bars of sticatoed notes, after those 3 bars the rest of the piece is all slurred. There are dynamics in the piece. I begin playing in piano, further in the piece i change from piano to metso forte.
